Email Verification#
After signing up, Altrixy sends a verification email to the address you registered with. You must verify your email before accessing any features.
- Open the email titled "Verify your Altrixy account"
- Click the Verify Email button (or copy the link into your browser)
- You will be redirected to the dashboard with a confirmation banner
Verification links expire after 24 hours. If yours has expired, go to Settings > Account and click "Resend Verification Email".
Profile Completion#
Complete your profile to get the most out of Altrixy's AI. The onboarding wizard collects:
- Full Name — Used in generated portfolios and shared links
- Professional Title — e.g., "Senior Product Manager at Stripe"
- Bio — A 2-3 sentence summary of your career (the AI uses this as context)
- Avatar — Upload a professional headshot or connect your Gravatar
- LinkedIn URL — Used for profile enrichment and LinkedIn integration
The more complete your profile, the better Altrixy's AI can tailor content to your voice and experience level.
Workspace Configuration#
Your workspace is your personal Altrixy environment. Configure it under Settings > Workspace:
- Workspace Name — Defaults to your name, but you can customize it (e.g., "Sarah's Career Hub")
- Default Export Format — Choose your preferred format: PDF, Markdown, HTML, or JSON
- Timezone — Used for scheduling LinkedIn posts and session reminders
- Language — Currently supports English; more languages coming soon
Self-Run vs Managed Setup#
During onboarding you will choose one of two paths:
Self-Run — You maintain full control. You manually create portfolios, compose posts, and schedule sessions. Best for users who want hands-on control.
Managed — Altrixy's AI agents proactively suggest portfolios, draft posts, and schedule interview prep sessions based on your goals. You review and approve. Best for users who want an autopilot experience.
You can switch between modes at any time in Settings > Workspace > Setup Mode.
Start with Managed mode to see the full power of Altrixy, then switch to Self-Run once you have a workflow you like.
Connecting LinkedIn#
To enable LinkedIn features, connect your account:
- Go to Settings > Integrations > LinkedIn
- Click Connect LinkedIn Account
- Authorize Altrixy in the LinkedIn OAuth popup
- Once connected, you will see your profile photo and headline displayed
Altrixy requests the following permissions:
- r_liteprofile — Read your name, headline, and photo
- r_emailaddress — Verify your identity
- w_member_social — Post content on your behalf (only when you approve)
Your LinkedIn credentials are never stored. Altrixy uses OAuth 2.0 tokens that can be revoked at any time.
Notification Preferences#
Control how and when Altrixy contacts you under Settings > Notifications:

Toggle each channel independently. You can also set a Do Not Disturb window (e.g., 10 PM - 8 AM) to suppress all non-critical notifications.
