Connecting Your LinkedIn Account#
To use any LinkedIn features, you first need to connect your account:
- Navigate to Settings > Integrations
- Find the LinkedIn card and click Connect
- A LinkedIn OAuth popup will appear — sign in with your LinkedIn credentials
- Review the permissions and click Allow
- You will be redirected back to Altrixy with a confirmation message
Once connected, your LinkedIn profile photo, name, and headline will appear in the integrations panel.
Altrixy uses OAuth 2.0. Your LinkedIn password is never shared with or stored by Altrixy.
Permissions Required#
Altrixy requests the following LinkedIn OAuth scopes:
| Permission | Scope | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Basic Profile | r_liteprofile | Read your name, headline, and profile photo |
| Email Address | r_emailaddress | Verify your identity |
| Post on Your Behalf | w_member_social | Publish posts you approve in the Post Composer |
| Organization Admin | rw_organization_admin | Optional — only if you manage a company page |
All actions that post to LinkedIn require your explicit approval in the Altrixy interface. The AI never posts without your confirmation.
Managing Multiple Accounts#
If you manage multiple LinkedIn accounts (e.g., personal and a company page), you can connect them all:
- Go to Settings > Integrations > LinkedIn
- Click Add Another Account
- Complete the OAuth flow for the additional account
- Each account appears as a separate card with its profile photo and name
When composing posts or using the STAR Engine, you can select which account to use from a dropdown at the top of the composer.
Most users only need their personal account connected. Add company pages only if you manage social media for your organization.
Disconnecting Your Account#
To disconnect a LinkedIn account:
- Go to Settings > Integrations > LinkedIn
- Click the three-dot menu on the account card
- Select Disconnect
- Confirm the action in the popup
Disconnecting immediately revokes Altrixy's access to your LinkedIn account. Any scheduled posts for that account will be cancelled. Historical analytics data is retained.
You can also revoke access from LinkedIn directly: LinkedIn > Settings > Data Privacy > Third-party connections > Altrixy > Remove.
