Creating LinkedIn Posts with AI#
The Post Composer helps you create engaging LinkedIn posts in minutes:
- Navigate to LinkedIn > Post Composer
- Click New Post
- Describe your topic in 1-2 sentences (e.g., "A post about the importance of user research for PMs")
- The AI generates a full post draft based on your topic and profile context
- Review, edit, and publish
The AI uses your profile data, past posts, and voice preferences to generate posts that sound like you. Each generation produces three variations so you can pick the one that resonates most.
Topic and Style Selection#
Fine-tune your post with these controls:
Topic categories:
- Product Management insights
- Career advice and lessons learned
- Industry commentary and trends
- Project showcase and case studies
- Team and culture stories
- Personal growth and reflections
Style options:
- Story — Narrative format with a hook, body, and takeaway
- List — Numbered or bulleted list of tips, lessons, or observations
- Hot take — Bold opinion with supporting reasoning
- Question — Thought-provoking question to drive comments
- Celebration — Milestone or achievement announcement
- Thread — Multi-post series for longer content
Story-style posts with a strong hook in the first two lines consistently get the highest engagement on LinkedIn.
Preview and Editing#
The editor shows a live preview of how your post will appear on LinkedIn:
- Character count with LinkedIn's 3,000 character limit indicator
- "See more" fold preview (first 3 lines visible before fold)
- Emoji rendering
- Mention formatting (@name)
- Hashtag styling
Edit directly in the composer. The AI toolbar offers:
- Shorten — Reduce length while preserving key points
- Expand — Add more detail to a concise draft
- Rephrase — Rewrite with different phrasing
- Add hook — Generate an attention-grabbing first line
- Add CTA — Append a call-to-action (question, invitation, etc.)
Scheduling Posts#
Schedule posts for optimal engagement times:
- Click Schedule instead of Post Now
- Choose a date and time from the picker
- Optionally, let the AI suggest the best time based on your audience activity data
- Click Confirm Schedule
Scheduled posts appear in the Calendar View at LinkedIn > Post Composer > Calendar. You can drag and drop posts to reschedule, or click to edit before the scheduled time.
Recurring posts are also supported — set a post to repeat weekly or monthly with AI-generated variations.
Performance Tracking#
Track the performance of your published posts in LinkedIn > Post Composer > Analytics:
